Microsoft Research, Ola will measure real-time air quality data with intent to help government in combating air pollution. Particulate Matter data will be gathered through sensors mounted on Ola’s vehicle fleet. Ola’s vehicles fleet for this has been distinguished, in view of complex calculations to guarantee most extreme geographical inclusion of data.
The sensors to be mounted in the motor compartment of the autos have been uniquely designed by a Delhi-based organization Purelogic Labs India Pvt. Ltd. The undertaking is set to start this month and is required to gather a great many data focuses through the span of one year to finish the range of variety in Delhi’s air-pollution.
Head, Ola Mobility Institute, Anand Shah said, “Air pollution is one of the biggest global environmental challenges of today. This project is part of ‘Ola City Sense’, a programme to provide intelligent data based insights to cities.”
Under this organization, Ola Mobility Institute and Microsoft Research will use their solid research and data science abilities to mutually direct research to give intermittent reports and bits of knowledge from the data gathered. The data alongside traffic and speed data can give data on terrible air-quality hotspots in the town.
